  • Martina Sailer

    Camp Director

    Martina is a former US Ski Team member, former University of Denver NCAA Championship Team Member, current Team Afton (Minnesota), and Level 100 coach.

    Martina is Erich’s daughter and has been part of Erich’s camps her entire life and has attended and helped run Erich’s summer camp at Mt. Hood for over 30 years. Now, Martina’s own children attend camp and she’s delighted to be able to help the next generation of racers from all over the country, including her own.

    Martina prides herself on being the “hype” coach - helping kids feel confident on race day and ready to charge! She loves supporting motivated racers!

  • Sarah Schleper Gaxiola

    Head Coach

    Sarah grew up ski racing at Vail and attending all of Erich’s camps since age 10. She’s a 7x Olympian (a World record for a female winter athlete), racing first for the U.S. and now for Mexico. She’s a World Cup winner and multiple time National Champion and still wins races. She has an unparalleled passion and love for ski racing and coaching athletes.

    Sarah has prescribed to Erich’s philosophy her entire ski racing life and it has resulted in an incredible career!

    Sarah is also the parent of Lasse, a new Olympian ski racer, and Resi, an aspiring figure skater. She coaches at Ski Club Vail in the winter.

  • Federico Gaxiola

    Coach

    Federico was immersed in the U.S. Ski Team environment from 2008 to 2012, traveling internationally within the program and gaining firsthand exposure to the demands of elite alpine racing. For the past five years, he has served as Head Coach of the Mexican Alpine Ski Team, guiding athletes through World Championships and Olympic qualification cycles. He establishes safety as a clear priority and builds training environments centered on discipline and excellence.

    He manages daily timing set-up and oversees on-hill video capture to provide the camp with daily performance analysis. Federico is adept in ski mechanics and equipment setup, including boot modification. Federico ensures athletes are aligned, prepared, and supported to train at their best.

  • Jacob Dilling

    Pacesetter Coach

    Jacob races for Team Global Racing based out of Innsbruck. He’s a former NCAA D1 athlete at the University of Colorado, an NCAA All-American, and former U.S. Ski Team Member. His history with the camp goes back to when he was a camper and now he coaches with the camp year after year! Jacob is always willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile to help campers achieve success with demonstration, thorough video analysis where he helps explain how things feel, race tactics discussions, and ski tuning support.

  • Galena Wardle

    Pacesetter Coach

    Galena is a current racer x junior coach at Aspen Ski Club, a former U.S. Ski Team, NCAA All-American (University of Denver), and World Junior Team member. She continues to win FIS races while juggling her ski coaching career and throwing in some big mountain podium results as well! And she’s a 2026 World Pro Ski Tour winner!

  • Stella Stinnett

    Camp Counselor & Assistant Coach

    Stella is a long-time camper that is now supporting the camp as a counselor! She’s a Team Central member, Lindsey Vonn Foundation Ambassador, Minnesota State High School Champion, and current Team Afton and Aspen Ski Club member!

The coaches rotate through all of the groups each week, teaching the basics and latest technique for Slalom and GS, which they will be demonstrating throughout the week.

All our coaches are parent-friendly and encourage the parents to be at the training site as much as they like.
